On Friday afternoon, my mom flew in from the mountains of WV for a wild weekend in Nashville. Needless to say, we were in bed by ten on Friday night. Here are a few epiphanies and musings from the weekend:
- Tennessee-May sun is stronger than April sun and warrants suntan lotion
- I’ve been washing my clothes in fabric softener for the better part of four months. (No wonder they’ve smelled so good)
- The Opry Mills Mall is always busy
- It is important to make friends with everyone in Music City—you never know who might have band-connections and can hook you up with tickets to sold-out Ryman shows
- Live music is the best kind of music
- Giving your mother the first official Kindle copy of your book is an awesome Mother’s Day gift
- Seeing your book on your mother’s Kindle is equally as rewarding
I hope everyone else had an equally enlightening weekend. Tonight I have my first hot-boxing session… I am confident that experience will bring about an entirely different round of musings—mostly concerning my general lack of fitness and a detailed description of what it feels like to pass out.
