This week I’ve been a lazy blogger… Take today’s topic as an example: being a lazy blogger. I suppose part of my laziness stems from being on vacation with my family. Some of you may forgive me and think, if it’s not a vacation from everything then is it really a vacation at all?
Others, perhaps the majority, will say that if vacations aren’t for writing brilliant prose, then what are they for? And to you I would respond simply with: I have a two-year-old niece.
Since I made the move to Nashville I obviously don’t get to see said niece as often as I’d like. So that’s what I’m doing this week instead of writing: building sand castles for her to smash, lifting her in the air while making “wooshing” sounds, dancing with teddy bears and taking every opportunity to engage in general silliness to make her giggle.
I dare you to tell me that isn’t more important than blogging.

I definitely think spending time with your niece trumps blogging! Enjoy the silliness. It sounds like the perfect “vacation.”
Enjoy your vacation! I nominated you for Lucky Seven! I posted on website and will tweet it out in morning. Congrats! Have a good time on beach.
Thanks so much! I’m finally in the land of the living with a reliable internet connection
I’ll check this out ASAP (and by ASAP I obviously mean a week later lol)
